Hope, struggle, solidarity, inspiration, support, courage, self-determination, freedom, revolution and love were the most outstanding words in the speeches of men and women who gathered on Saturday July 30that the Bolivarian Hall, cultural space of the Venezuelan Embassy in the United States to celebrate the birthday of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chavez.

Rejecting the Amnesty Law promoted by the Venezuelan opposition

This Tuesday April 19th, in order to commemorate the 206th anniversary of the first step towards the independence of Venezuela, the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela offered a discussion with representatives of the Committee of Victims of violent protests (Guarimbas) who visited the US capital to raise awareness in the international community about the dangerous precedent of the Amnesty Law promoted by current deputies of the National Assembly. In addition, the Committee members reiterated their support for the newly created Commission on Justice and Truth, which was established with the support of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur) to track violent events promoted by the opposition in 2013 and 2014, taking into account the concerns of victims.
