Venezuela took on Thursday the vice-presidency of the 173rd conference of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), which is held in Vienna, Austria.

Through the Twitter account of the Venezuelan embassy in the Central European nation, it was informed about the development of this meeting, where Oil Minister and President of Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa), Manuel Quevedo, and the deputy minister of oil Ángel González took part.

Also, in a video broadcast by the embassy, Quevedo indicated that Venezuela arrives at this meeting with the commitment to "analyze everything that has been the participation quota of our country in the supply of oil in the world" and ratify its commitments with the improvement of oil production.

The country has fulfilled more than 100% of its productive responsibilities "and we will continue to fulfill and internationalize socialist Venezuela and Venezuelan model," he said.

Quevedo also said that this meeting will be favorable to evaluate "the behavior of the oil market and all the cooperation agreements to stabilize and boost oil prices".

The minister is in talks to boost the oil production capacity of the South American country, "to recover it, activate it, thus fulfilling the commitments we have made with OPEC", since Venezuela has all the capacity to fulfill this task.

"We will be here establishing mechanisms to implement them in our country in an immediate way as our president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, has requested," he said.
