Present at the Consular Office the following requirements 

  A) Son from a Venezuelan father and mother by born:

a.1) Complete the form Act of Birth Certificate.

a.2) Three (03) original and one (01) copy of the birth certificate issued by the competent local authority of the state where the child was born, duly "Apostille" (Original).

a.3) Both, the birth certificate as each Apostille, must be translated into Spanish and duly signed by the translator before a Notary Public in this country. You must submit the original translations.

The Apostille is issued by the Secretary of State, from the State where that birth certificate was issued. See Table Model Apostille and Where to Apostille.

The Apostille certifies the local US authority of the Office of the State Registrar for Vital Statistics that issue and sign the birth certificate. Therefore, it is not applicable to this case the Apostille certifying the power of a Public Notary.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The names of the parents must appear in the local birth certificate, as they appear in their identification documents (identity card and / or passport). This certificate must state the name of the hospital and the time the child was born. If the record does not show the time of birth, include any proof with these data.

A. 4) Fill by hand and pencil the form Birth Statistics without errors or corrections.

a.5) Submit four (4) copies (legible) of the identity card of both parents.

A. 6) Submit four (4) copies (legible) of the main pages of the passports of both parents.

A.7) Submit four (4) copies of the Birth Certificate of both Venezuelans parents by birth.

A.8) Submit four (4) copies (legible) of the Marriage Certificate, if applicable.

B) Children with a Venezuelan mother or father mother and one a foreign father or mother :

b.1) Complete the form Act of Birth Certificate.

b.2) Three (03) original and one (01) copy of the birth certificate issued by the competent local authority of the state where the child was born, duly "Apostille" (Original).

a.3) Both ,the birth certificate as each Apostille, must be translated into Spanish and duly signed by the translator before a Notary Public in this country. You must submit the original translations.

B.8) Submit four (4) copies of the identity document (passport, ID) of the foreign father or mother.

 
b.9) Submit four (4) copies (legible) Marriage Certificate, if applicable.

 
IMPORTANT:

  • Parents must appear in person to sign the birth certificate. If one of the parent is unable to attend, he or she must submit notarized authorization.
    if a Venezuelan parent by birth cannot persent the child or adolescent personally, he or she may do so by special mandate (power) duly notarized and apostille (Article 465 of the Civil Code of Venezuela).
  • Is mandatory to provide a complete address in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the form of the Birth Certificate.
  • The procedure of Birth Registration is free

  • Any request for Birth Registration of citizens over 18 years whose parents (both or one of them) is or are Venezuelan national(s) , must be made by to the competent authority for Civil Registry, which is the National Electoral Council ( CNE), in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; in which can be started the procedure provided in Article 88 of the Organic Law of Civil Registration and the Articles 43, 44 and 45 of Regulation No. 1 of the Organic Law of Civil Registry.

CERTIFIED COPIES OF THE CIVIL REGISTRY:

This procedure is only possible for users who are registered their marriage in this Consular Office.

Requirements:

The applicant must submit the following requirements:

a) A copy of the document the proves that you are registered in the Consular office.

b) Money Order  of FIFTEEN U.S. DOLLARS  ($ 15.00), on behalf of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; for each certified copy required.

Delivery Time: Delivery time for certified copies depend on the volume of applications being processed, for reference, it is estimated about five (5) working days,to  this estimate , it must be added the time it takes the post ofice in delivering the documents.
